Calcium Caseinate.
Calcium caseinate is a calcium salt obtained from milk caseins. Caseins have a slower absorption than serum proteins and, therefore, allow the bars to ensure a supply of amino acids even in the following hours and to avoid catabolism.In addition, caseins contain a higher amount of some amino acids important for athletes, namely arginine, glutamine and proline, than serum proteins.

Richer in sulfur amino acids, serum proteins have a very high biological value and overall higher than caseins. In serum proteins are present in good quantities leucine, isoleucine and valine (the so-called BCAA, or branched-chain amino acids) - and tryptophan.
