Why "DETOX"?

"Detox" because it is an effective remedy to promote well-being and a widespread sense of lightness and "purification".

Honey Detox contains several natural extracts with similar and synergistic properties, to promote a detoxifying action on the whole body, promoting proper functionality.

Artichoke.
Artichoke (Cynara scolymus) is a plant belonging to the Asteraceae family.
The cynarin contained in Artichoke has a recognized detox action: in fact, it stimulates the secretion of bile ducts and promotes diuresis and the elimination of toxins.

Allied to the well-being of the liver, Artichoke is the natural remedy of excellence to promote proper liver function. Artichoke, moreover, has a hypocholesterolemic power and it is one of the best natural remedies for containing the level of haematic lipids.

Milk Thistle.

Like Artichoke, Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum) is a plant belonging to the family of Asteraceae. With Artichoke, Milk Thistle shares the beneficial action towards the liver. Unlike Artichoke, however, Milk Thistle also promotes tissue repair, helping to preserve its integrity.

Used in phytotherapy to detoxify the liver even in presence of disorders such as cirrhosis of the liver, this plant is surely one of the best natural remedies to detoxify the body.

Dandelion.

Dandelion also belongs to Asteraceae, a family of plants known in phytotherapy for its beneficial properties on hepatic health.
In particular, Dandelion promotes the secretion of bile ducts, improving both digestion and liver wellness.
Moreover, Dandelion stimulates diuresis, thus promoting the elimination of toxins accumulated with food, pollution and/or some drugs.

Burdock.
Burdock (Arctium lappa) is a herbaceous plant which, like Artichoke, Milk Thistle and Dandelion, belongs to the family of Asteraceae.
Its leaves and roots are used in phytotherapy, both for external use in the treatment of acne, psoriasis and eczema, and for internal use for purifying purposes.

Burdock, in fact, enhances the activity of the liver and the secretion of bile ducts, "cleaning" the body from waste products. Besides having a detoxifying action, Burdock also has hypoglycemic and cholesterol lowering properties. Rich in inulin, a soluble fiber, Burdock promotes the purification of blood and also has a draining action.

Gentian.
Gentian (Gentiana Lutea) is a plant belonging to the family of Gentianaceae, typical of mountain places, with an altitude higher than 1000 meters.
Gentian roots are used in phytotherapy in cases of digestive disorders, such as stomach heaviness and aerophagia.
In fact, Gentian roots stimulate stomach secretions and increase gastric motility, facilitating digestion and eliminating disorders connected to dyspepsia.

Wheatgrass.

Wheatgrass (Agropyrum) belongs to the Gramineae family and is also known as "wild wheat". Its rhizomes have many beneficial properties, among which detoxifying, draining and antiseptic properties stand out. In fact, Gramigna promotes the secretion of bile ducts and diuresis, fundamental to purify the body.

Moreover, it is indicated to treat infections of the urinary tract and to prevent the deposit of calcium stones in the kidneys.

Fennel.

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) belongs to the family of Umbelliferae. Fennel is known for its depurative, digestive and antioxidant properties.

Besides helping digestion, in fact, fennel helps to reduce fermentation processes in the colon and relaxes smooth muscles.
Useful to prevent or treat colic, even in children, fennel contains a substance - rosmarinic acid - which has a protective and depurative function towards the liver. Moreover, it has a diuretic power which is also precious for hypertensive subjects.
