Asparagus (Asparago Officinalis).
Asparagus originated in Asia but now spread all over Europe, belongs to the same family of onion and garlic, but differently from them they are very rich in chlorophyll, from which the characteristic green color. The root stimulates diuresis thanks to the presence of saponins. Moreover, potassium and asparagine, in which the plant is rich, help this diuretic effect. Sulfur present in many components of asparagus, has a detoxifying action. It contains flavonoids, in particular rutin which helps the maintenance of the physiological trophism of blood capillaries.

Ash Tree (Fraxinus Excelsiorius L.).
Ash tree has known draining effects, helping to reduce water retention and to maintain proper kidney function thanks to the presence in the leaf of Fraxinite, fraxine and fraxetine, fraxidine, isofraxidine. There are also polyphenols and tannins, iridoid glycosides. It also performs antioxidant action and facilitates intestinal transit. It also contains ursolic acid, triterpene, which stimulates and supports the muscle mass at the expense of fat mass.

Milk Thistle (Sylibum Marianum).
Typical and spontaneous plant of the Mediterranean maquis, it belongs to the bitter herbs and has always been used for the well-being of the emunctory organs. The characteristic constituent is silymarin, a set of flavolignans, which carries out its hepatoprotective activity by inhibiting the peroxidation of fatty acids and more generally as an inhibitor of the formation of metabolites harmful to the liver. Among the components of silymarin, silybinin counteracts hepatic damage from cirrhosis, hepatitis and drug intake. The active ingredients stimulate tissue renewal and studies show an effect of Milk Thistle in restoring transaminase and bilirubin values. Silandrin reduces the synthesis of triglycerides and interferes with the activity of the enzyme cyclooxygenase, involved in inflammation. Silymonin, another component of silymarin, modulates the activity of hepatic enzymes involved in detoxification. The milk thistle also acts at systemic level thanks to the content of antioxidants, vit E and C, flavonoids and the same silybin that stimulates the superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase. In addition to a depurative effect by stimulating the diuresis through toxifolin.

Burdock (Arctium Lappa).
Widespread in temperate areas, Burdock is known for its antiphlogistic and antibiotic properties with a dermopathic effect. Burdock also performs a depurative activity by stimulating liver and biliary functions. It has a hypoglycemic and cholesterol lowering action, slightly laxative. In the root are found lignans, vitamins of the B complex, amino acids, oligoelements, bitter substances and tannins; but above all it is constituted by inulin, which has a draining and purifying action on the blood, which promotes the elimination of toxins, that is the "waste" of the different metabolic reactions of the body.

Pilosella (Hieracium Pilosella).
Bitter mountain plant always known for its diuretic, draining and antiseptic properties for infections of the urinary tract and bladder. The diuretic action is directly exerted on renal tubules by stimulating the excretion of water, sodium, chloride and nitrogenous wastes. Like other bitter plants, it has a choleretic and cholagogue action.

Plantain (Plantago Major L.).
Known for its anti-inflammatory, expectorant and mucous membrane soothing properties, plantain is rich in iridoid glucosides, flavonoids (luteolin), mucilage, tannins, pectins, salic acid, mineral salts.
